Yoga Classes at Yoga Tree

Yoga has its own language, and you may feel like you are listening to a foreign dialect if you’re new to the practice. Phrases like “hatha” and “vinyasa” are not self-explanatory. To help you navigate your way through the language of yoga, and find the right yoga class, here are the definitions to some of the most commonly used yoga terms. 

Yoga for Beginners

Perfect for first timers, beginners, anybody wanting take the Physical (Asana) yoga practice back to basics or simply take a more gentle approach, as well as creating a beautiful foundation to a meditation practice.

All Levels

Our All Levels classes are open to all students! Teachers offer modifications for all levels!

Candlelight Yoga 

Sun Salutations, strengthening postures and uplifting music all with nice candlelight.  

Chair Yoga

Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that is practiced sitting on a chair, or standing using a chair for support. Great for those who are not able or prefer not to be on the floor. All Levels Welcome. $5 Drop In -  Community Class or use your membership

Community All Levels

Just like our All Levels classes, but the drop in is $5!

Gentle All Levels

Just like our All Levels class but with more props and softer transitions.

Hatha Yoga/Flow

Hatha Yoga is the traditional practice of combining breath and movement, and is all levels.

Hot Yoga

This class is done in approx. 90 degrees. Going deep in your practice with long holds, breath work, strong core work.

Nighttime Flow

Our Nighttime Flow classes are later in the evening, and are a perfect chance to downgrade from your day!

Power Hour

Our Power Hour classes are fast paced and energetic! *Prior Yoga experience encouraged

Private Sessions

Private sessions are a good option for beginner yoga students and advanced yogis alike. Your instructor will help you align your body properly and pay special attention to the areas where you can improve your yoga mastery. Let us know which instructor you'd like to work with and we will connect you!

Rockin' Vinyasa

Our Rockin' Vinyasa classes are fast paced and energetic, with great music!

Sunrise Yoga

Our Sunrise Yoga classes are a great chance to start the day with your practice.


Vinyasa yoga is also called flow yoga. In this style, movements and poses are synchronized with the breath. Typically, upward movements are performed while inhaling and downward movements are performed while exhaling.


Yin Students looking for a slower paced class will enjoy a yin yoga class. In this style of yoga, each pose is held for a long period of time. This meditative style of yoga is ideal for enhancing your mind-body relationship and recovering from muscle soreness or injury.
